This may be exactly what you´re asking yourself if you´re determined to plant your own garden - but don´t know all that much about how to go about it.
It´s important to know how to garden before trying to tackle your own gardening project. This website has been developed to provide you with useful gardening tips and information on garden design so you can look forward to having the garden of your dreams!
Here are a few tips to get you started:
Find the crops that grow well in your local climate and the soil in your garden. If you try to force a plant that doesn't suit the weather in your area, you'll end up putting in a lot of work for very little result. What grows well one year will probably grow well the next as well, so finding plants the thrive in your climate will make your job easier from year to year.
If this is your first time planting a garden, consider purchasing seeds and planting them in seed trays to allow them to grow some before planting them outside. By doing this, your plants will be stronger and much more likely to survive once you´ve moved them to the soil outside.
Selecting bulbs. Most bulbs are sold during their dormant period. Buy them as early as possible before the rrots begin to show. Most spring flowering bulbs will begin to grow roots by early fall, and by planting them early, you will ensure they have time to establish themselves. Bulbs will deteriorate if kept out of the ground too long. Be careful not to buy any bulbs that are soft or mushy, or appear to be diseased.
And finally, don't waste your time or your money trying to figure out gardening all on your own. Doing the necessary research into finding reliable sources of information that can help you each step of the way will make your job easier and end up with a garden you can both enjoy, and be proud of.
Happy Gardening!
